Matt joined Baird as a Financial Advisor, bringing with him over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Originally from Kettering, Ohio, he attended Wright State University on an athletic scholarship, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business while serving as a four-year starter on the university’s baseball team.
Matt began his career at Paychex, where he specialized in developing retirement plan solutions for small business owners. He later joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney as a Financial Consultant, where he partnered with David Schwarz to form The Schwarz Group. His commitment to client service earned him recognition on Morgan Stanley Smith Barney’s Blue Chip Council in both 2007 and 2008.
Since joining Baird, Matt has consistently been named to the firm’s Executive Council, a distinction he has held since 2015.
Matt lives in Galena with his wife, Annie, and their three children—Tyler, Drew, and Audrey. He is an active member of St. John Neumann Parish and enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and staying connected to his love of baseball.
